It is so great to finally see how these characters look! It's really a treat to watch this unfold. I love the perspective from which we get our first glance at the dapper old fellow at the door, and your characterization of the scraggly one. More! More!


(Nice green crayon, too. I think you should start a fan challenge. and let people write in with weird stains they'd like to see on the pages...My vote? Spaghetti sauce.)

Those statues (ultra lad I assume)look kind of creepy in the shadows.

I want them on every page though.

The plot moves forward and I'm so glad you can post more than one page like some of us. :P

Rereading this book after all this years is a real pleasure. But I can't remember that I draw with my crayons in it ... What a consequent idea, Joe. Great work.

This bi-weekly schedule is great. What a nice, satisfying chunk of story. Looks gorgeous as usual. Great type effects in there.

Yes, the ole fourpage foreplay gets 'em every time. Are you going to be able to last until the next update?

Who woulda thought scribbling with crayons would garner such praise!? I'm glad you liked it. Who konws, if it takes off, it might be how I color future projects.

Great couple of pages. You are REALLY building up for the reveal of Ultra Lad and also of the mystery behind those other two. I'm getting ideas about what's what, but a mystery is supposed to get you thinking, so you're doing your job.
